There are six telecom companies operating in Pakistan. However, each company network offers its SIM with a different SIM code. Hence, the telecom users are sometimes confused about Which network code is this? That’s the reason, I am writing this post for you.
We will list down all the SIM codes so that you can easily identify your SIM network. Each telecom company in Pakistan allocated a fixed number of serial codes from the PTA. This allotment depends upon the number of users each network owns.
The goal of assigning different codes to each network to full fill the user’s need. This happened when a network user base increased from the set numbers and the company can’t assign more mobile number to users.
So the PTA decide to allow the companies to use another set of codes. For example, A Mobilinking all the mobile numbers start from 0300 but after the company is able to full fill the number list it will be given any set 0301 so they can re-assign the numbers.
Identify Network Codes
The serial number or network codes start from 00 to 55 and each mobile company assigns the code by PTA. These codes are used to identify the network. For example, 0333 network code for Ufone and similar 0345 is set for Telenor, etc.
Each mobile number consists of seven digits with a separate serial number network code. A user must need to dial the number along with the code to connect with the user and can communicate.
SIM Codes List
Before listing down all the SIM codes, it is remembered that these codes assign by telecom authorities. Hence there is no control of the network regarding these codes. Each telecom company can have a different code and the same number can be assigned to a different code.
